Will AI write your next blog post? How about your emails?

If you think that statement sounds crazy, then let me tell you a little story.
I recently tested out an AI content writer.
Mainly because I was feeling so cynical of the statement above. I’d just read a report on the 2022 Marketing Trends to look out for and AI generated content is being touted by a few experts.
What codswallop I thought! Surely it will be the wrong tone? Won’t it just rearrange what a human has already done?
I was intrigued enough to give one a whirl.
One quick trial later…. 😮
‘Jasper’ as my new AI friend is called, is unlikely to be replacing any of our marketing team in a hurry (phew), but he is fairly impressive. And he could be a pretty powerful ally for a content marketer wanting ideas, or ways to shake up their creative.
I now have a basic subscription for Jasper which gives me access to a range of templates that he can generate while I sip my cup of tea.
Things like:
Paragraph generators
AIDA frameworks
PAS frameworks (problem-agitate-solution)
Content improver (take your existing content and rewrite it)
Blog post ideas
Plus other fun ones like ‘explain it to a child’
And some proof that Jasper knows a thing or two about content. Here is his attempt at an AIDA framework for one of our leadership courses at UBT. To produce this I had to input a brief production description (I think I gave him two sentences) and a tone to use (I chose professional)
Not bad Jasper!

What does everyone think? Can you imagine using AI to generate some/part of your content in the future?
p.s. not an ad for Jasper, am sure there are plenty of AI competitors out there!

AI tools are changing how blogs and emails are written, but they don’t replace human intent. An AI assistant can speed up drafting and brainstorming, yet the message still needs a real voice. When used thoughtfully, generative AI tools enhance productivity without sacrificing authenticity or originality.
